This bulletin may be downloaded free from the website.  It gives essential details to candidates and helps them in their application for the various Post Doctoral & Postgraduate Fellowship courses beginning January 2013.  PLEASE GO THROUGH THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE FILLING THE FORM.  

THE APPLICATION PROCESS
Application forms can be accessed only  on-line through the College website on http://home.cmcvellore.ac.in/admissions/admin.htm till  20th October 2012 and submitted with a basic administrative fee of Rs.1000/-. Candidates applying from SAARC countries should send Rs.2000/- or its  equivalent and those from other foreign countries US dollars 100 or its equivalent.   

Money can be remitted using any of the following methods: 
1. Demand draft in favour of “C.M.C. Vellore Association a/c” on any scheduled bank, payable in Vellore. 
2. As a challan at no extra cost at any branch of ICICI bank in India. Please mention ‘FC – CMC – V’ on the challan.  

Send the DD, original payment Challan or receipt to: Office of the Registrar, CMC, Thorapadi PO, Vellore 632002. State your full postal address with Pin-code. Mention your telephone number and email address if available.  No additional money, stamps or envelopes are required.

THE SELECTION PROCESS  
The selection of candidates for fellowship courses will be according to the directives of the CMC Vellore Council.  Fifty percent of the seats in each course are reserved   for sponsored candidates, provided they fulfil other criteria for eligibility for admission.  However, more than 50% of the available seats may be allotted to sponsored candidates based on their ranking in the selection test. The wait list is based on ranking in the selection tests.  The first sponsored candidate on the waiting list will ordinarily fill vacancies arising by sponsored candidates not accepting a seat to make up 50% reservation for sponsored candidates. In the event that more than 50% of the seats in any course are filled by   sponsored candidates and one of the sponsored candidates does not accept the seat, it will be offered to the next candidate on the wait list by rank irrespective of whether he or she is sponsored or open.

Hall Tickets are generated and available at the link  
http://home.cmcvellore.ac.in/admissions/admin.htm after  12th November 2012. Please access the website and print it out. Check for accuracy of detail. In case of non-receipt or availability of the hall ticket one week prior to the date of the written test, candidates may contact the Office of  the Registrar by post, fax, email or the telephone.  Please keep your application/registration number handy.

ENTRANCE TESTS (See also Annexure 1)
Candidates for all Fellowship courses conducted by the College are ranked on the basis of a written test, clinical examination and interview. 
1. The written test will be conducted at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi,  Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Puducherry, Trivandrum,  and Vellore . 
2. The written test paper consists of multiple choice questions in the speciality for which the candidate has applied. 
The duration of the paper is 1 hour (50 questions).  All candidates who wish to take the written test are required to be in their assigned seats at the time, date and place stipulated on the Hall ticket.  No candidate will be permitted to enter the examination hall after 30 minutes of the stipulated examination commencement time.

How To Apply:

The online application procedure is common for general and service candidates
Candidates seeking admission to this course can apply in the online application form provided in the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in of the Commissioner for entrance examinations from 13th September, 2012 to 25th September, 2012, 05.00 p.m. and then remit the required fees at any State Bank of Travancore branch using the Bank Challan available with the print out
Candidates residing outside Kerala state can remit the application fee by way of demand draft drawn in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram
Application fee is Rs.1000/- for general/service candidates and Rs 500/- for SC/ST candidates
The fee for entrance examination once remitted will not be refunded on any account
Application forms will not be sold from the office of the commissioner for entrance examinations or from the Directorate of Ayurveda Medical Education
The service quota candidates should remit the application fee Rs 1000/- in Treasury, in the head of Account 0210-02-101-99
Candidates seeking admission against general merit seat should forward their completed application print out along with the Bank Challan/demand draft to the Commissioner for entrance examinations, Housing Board Building, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram-695001, either by registered post/speed post/ hand delivery so as to reach him on or before 26th September, Wednesday, 05.00 p.m.
Candidates applying against service quota should submit their application print out with necessary documents/certificates and the challan receipt to the Director, Directorate of Ayurveda Medical Education, Arogyabhavan, MG Road, Thiruvananthapuram, through their controlling officers, so as to reach him on or before 26th September, 2012, Wednesday, 05.00 p,m.
Late applications will not be accepted

Eligibility:
The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA of any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

STEP 1: Admission Test: All candidates seeking admission to LBSIM will be required to appear in the Common Admission Test (CAT) to be conducted by IIMs  Details for obtaining the CAT bulletin can be taken from the CAT advertisement in all leading national newspapers and at IIM website www.catiim.in

STEP 2: Registration at LBSIM: Besides CAT, candidates are required to register at LBSIM, Delhi through a separate Application Form which will be available along with Information Brochure from Admission Coordinator, LBSIM, Delhi.

Admission Procedure

Common Admission Test (CAT)
All applicants desirous of seeking admission in PGDFM at IIFM, Bhopal have to appear for Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) by responding to their notification published in leading national dailies. IIFM will use the CAT score only for short-listing the candidates for two year full time post graduate programme. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

How To Apply:
In addition to CAT, the candidates should fill up a separate application form for admission to PGDFM. This form can be obtained either personally or by post by sending a Demand Draft of Rs 900/- (Rs 450/- for SC / ST) drawn in favour of "Director, Indian Institute of Forest Management" payable at Bhopal. Alternatively, the form can be downloaded from the website and the filled in hardcopy of the form along with the Draft for the specified amount should be sent to IIFM. Alternatively the information bulletin and the application form can be purchased by paying cash at the various centres of the following coaching institute (Photocopy of the cash receipt issued by the coaching institute should be attached) :

The next instalment of Rs. 10,000/- must be paid before the end of the first semester. Unexcusable Late fine of Rs. 100/- per week after the required date will be charged. Unless cleared all dues, no candidate will be promoted to the final semester of the course.
Fees once paid are not refundable under any circumstances.
Caution money deposit of Rs. 500 for Library facility will have to be paid in cash at the time of admission.
Resitting Examination fee of Rs. 200 per paper, subject to maximum of Rs. 1,000/- is to be paid by the student for carryover papers in which he failed or abstained. Examination Fee per Semester is chargeable @ Rs.500
In addition to the above charges, individual student shall bear the expenses in connection with industrial visits arranged as a part of the curriculum.
On study tour, the second class/sleeper rail fare only shall be borne by the Institute while incidental charges for boarding & lodging, bus & local conveyance expenses must be borne by the students.
Incidental expenses for project work, sessional work and stationery are also to be borne by the students.

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
Entrance examination will be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations for the selection of candidates for admission to MCA Course. All candidates who are eligible for admission and whose application have been accepted will be allowed to appear for the Entrance Examination. The Entrance Examination will be of two hours duration and will be conducted at selected venues in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode.

Karnatak University Ph.D Entrance Test 2012-2013

Eligibility:
Any candidate who has obtained a post graduate degree from a recognized university including foreign candidates (sponsored by their embassies) and sponsored candidates securing not less than 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Cat-I/Physically challenged candidates) at the post graduate degree shall be eligible to apply for the Ph.D degree programme.
In the case of those candidates who are appointed on regular basis prior to 31st March, 1992 as teachers, librarians and physical education personnel in colleges and university departments, the minimum marks shall be 50% (45% for SC/ST/Cat-I) provided they (employees) are continuing in service at the time of submission of application for registration.
If the results of Master’s Degree are declared in the form of grades/credits/ cumulative points in their marks cards/ trans, such grades/points shall be converted into percentages to assess the minimum eligibility criteria
Entrance Test: All the applicants who possess the minimum percentage of marks at their PG degree shall appear for the entrance test.

However, Govt sponsored foreign candidates; candidates who have cleared the UGC/UGC-CSIR JRF Test/ NET/SLET (Karnataka)/GATE/ GRE/M.Phil (admitted through an entrance test) shall be eligible for exemption from the entrance test

Online Registration Instructions:

Step a)    Click on New Users Registration and enter your data in the online application form.

Step b)    Read through the Terms and Conditions and click on the I Agree button to accept the Terms and Conditions.

2. Bring the MICAT Admit card to the Test Centre in addition to a photo-identity card. An acceptable photo identity card is any one of *Passport,* Driving license *College / Institute identity card, *Aadhaar card,*Pan Card,*Voters Id Card.

3. At the time of the written test, it is mandatory to produce the photo identity card as described here. MICA Authorized Person will verify and authenticate your MICAT Admit Card against the photo-id.

Eligibility: Candidates must have either a First Class Master's degree in any discipline (or equivalent professional qualification) and a three-year Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks in the aggregate; OR a First Class Bachelor's degree in Engineering. In addition, applicant must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in either the Secondary or the Higher Secondary Examination of a Board (or equivalent).

NRI/Foreign Applicants
An Indian student who is, or has been, a Non-resident Indian, can apply to the Fellow Program, as can a foreign student. Irrespective of the specialization(s) that such a candidate applies for, (s)he can request that the GMAT be considered the appropriate Admission Test for him/her. (S)he needs to have taken the GMAT no earlier than 25th January, 2011 if (s)he does not hold a foreign MBA degree, and no earlier than 25th January, 2009 if (s)he does hold a foreign MBA degree.
Such an applicant must comply with the same Application Process as a domestic student – submit completed Application Form(s), pay the Application Fee, and satisfy all other criteria stated above (or their equivalents).

Instructions For Filling Up The Application Form

An applicant is required to submit a Fellow Program (FP) Application Form 2013 for each area of specialization that (s)he applies for. Completed Application Form(s) must be submitted along with an Application Fee of Rs. 500/-. This fee should be paid by a crossed demand draft for Rs. 500/- payable to "Indian Institute of Management Calcutta" on a bank in Kolkata. An SC/ST/OBC/PWD applicant need not pay the application fee as long (s)he sends an attested photocopy of his/her SC/ST/OBC/PWD certificate.
When applying to two areas of specialization, an applicant is required to submit two separate application forms, complete in all respects, one for each area of specialization. However, a single payment of the application fee of Rs. 500/- will suffice for each applicant, as long as (s)he submits the two application forms at the same time (e.g. in the same mailing).
For each area of specialization applied for, two letters of recommendation (in the prescribed format) are required. Blank forms for recommendation letters, and instructions on how to return them, are contained in the Application Forms.
Applicant must ensure that a submitted Application Form is complete in all respects. Along with the Form, the applicant is required to submit the following "supporting documents".
Certified Documents: Provide attested copies of transcripts of Academic Records/Mark Sheets/GMAT/GATE/GRE/UGC-JRF/UGC-NET test scores. The last Date for submitting MAT (Management Aptitude Test) Forms is November 14th 2012 .

Application forms will be availableat all AIMA Nodal Centres and Bank of Baroda branches. The MAT Test is scheduled for December 2, 2012 for admissions to around 300 Business Schools. List of MAt Participating institutes will be updated shortly.

The MAT Test is usually conducted 4 times in a year in Feburary, May, September and December.

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is usually conducted four times in a year in Feb. , May, September and December. The minimum qualification is graduation in any discipline from any recognised university or equivalent recognised degree. A final-year student can also appear provisionally. Usually, there is a minimum percentage requirement in graduation which is different for different MI’s/ universities.

Application Form

The candidate is required to download the application form/challan form from the PGI website http://pgimer.nic.in
After filling the application form, the candidate is required to send it by speed post/registered post to Registrar PGI, Chandigarh on or before 06th October, 2012
After depositing the fee with the branch of State Bank of India, the candidate shall send a PGI’s copy of the Challan form along with the application form and retain a candidates copy of challan with him/her for future use
The third copy of the challan form will be retained by the State Bank of India
The challan form is required to be filled up in the name of Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh (Examination) in the Power Jyoti Account number 32211613319 and those candidates who have SBI account can also pay their fee through I-collect service of SBI and I-collect account number is 32222954695
In that case the INB reference number will have to be mentioned instead of challan number in the application form
The fees for General/OBC/PH candidates is Rs 1000/- and for SC/ST Rs 800/-
However, the fees for DM/M.Ch examination is Rs 1000/-
The candidates should write his/her name, address, contact number and course name in which he/she apply, on the back side of the challan form

Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) is one of the medical and research institutions of Asia. Located in Chandigarh, India, it is recognized for its education, medical research and training facilities as well as for its graduates.

The institute has met the objective of providing educational facilities for the training of medical and non-medical personnel in all the important branches of health activity. PGIMER has attained self-sufficiency in postgraduate medical education and runs a continuous, full-time residency program in most of the specialties of medical sciences, e.g., medicine, surgery, pathology, microbiology etc.
