MBA (Rural Management) Admission 2013-15 (UGC/AICTE approved)
The KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM), Bhubaneswar came into existence on 20th November, 2006 as a constituent of KIIT University, Bhubaneswar
Eligibility: 
Graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent CGPA) at graduation can apply
Written Test: The applicants must have appeared for IRMA written test
Last date of application: 30th September, 2012
IRMA written test on: 11th November, 2012
GD/PI Centre: The group discussion/personal interview for all the short listed candidates will be held at Bhubaneswar, Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi
Selection Procedure: Academic career, performance in IRMA written exams and group discussion/ personal interview
The conduct of the MBA-RM in all its aspects, including its design, admission, placement, and academic and disciplinary matters shall be the responsibility of a Committee designated as the “MBA-RM Committee”. The MBA-RM Committee shall consist of the Dean (Academics)/MBA-RM Coordinator and Co-ordinators of Admission, Placement, MTS and VSS.
Assignments in Organisations
In tune with the mission of KSRMand analogousto the placement policy, assignments ofstudentsin different organisationsfor VSS and MTS will cover rural development organisations including NGOs, Co-operatives, agribusiness enterprises and private sector organizations (preferably their social development initiatives). The choice of projects and organisation for VSS and MTS will be specified by the concerned VSS/ MTS Co-ordinator.
Evaluation
The Village Study Segment andManagement Traineeship Segment will be evaluated. All these segments will be of 12 credits each. The grading system will be same as that used for the classroom segments
The components, on which students’performance in the Village Study Segment (VSS) will be evaluated, include:
Reporting Officer of host organisation- 50% & KSRM -50%, each of which consists of -
· Theme Paper- 15%
· OP & Village Profile- 15%
· RAAC by Reporting officer & host Organization- 15%
· NSS- 5%
The MTS evaluation will be broadly centred on the following components:
· Evaluation by Reporting Officer (30% weight),
· Evaluation of report by faculty guide (40% weight), and
· Presentations of the MTS experience/work (30% weight)
