Admission in MA in Criminology
The Government of Gujarat has established “RAKSHA SHAKTI UNIVERSITY” vide ‘The Raksha Shakti University Act, 2009’, Gujarat bill No-16 of 2009 in the sixtieth year of the Republic of India to prepare the youth of the state for becoming effective and efficient security personnel and to conduct courses and award degrees, diplomas and certificate for the said purpose. The Raksha Shakti University is a unique and first of its kind in India for conducting certificate, diploma and degree courses in the field of police administration, criminology, forensic science, cyber crime and other subjects related to internal security.
M.A. (Criminology) [The two years programme aims to provide knowledge of genesis of crime and criminals. It also enables the students to understand the complexities of crime in the various dimensions and equip them to take necessary preventive measures. It also provides perceptual skill in handling the various types of criminal cases.]
QUALIFICATION
Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 year’s duration in any stream with minimum of 55% of marks from any recognized university (50% for SC/ST categories).
METHOD OF SELECTION
The University will prepare a list of candidates in order of merit in each category based on the marks obtained in the Graduation. The result of all candidates will be displayed on the notice board of the University and also on the website www.rakshashaktiuniversity.edu.in No separate intimation will be sent to the candidates in this regard. The cases of candidates securing equal aggregate marks in the Graduation will be determined by the University looking at the other academic distinctions of the applicant.
Application form for admission will be available at the University and as well as on the University’s website.
The Application form can be downloaded from the website and the duly filled form along with the demand draft of Rs. 500 as application fee drawn in favour of “Registrar, Raksha Shakti University”, payable at Ahmedebad, Gujarat should be submitted to the Registrar, Raksha Shakti University, New Mental Corner, Meghani Nagar, Ahmedabad- 380016, (Gujarat) either in person or by post/ courier/ speed post/ registered post so as to reach the University on or before 7th July, 2012 up to 6.30 p.m.Application fee is not refundable in any case. Last date for receiving of complete application form in this University is 7th July, 2012 till 6.30 p.m. incomplete forms will not be entertained.
FEES:
Rs. 30, 000/- per year + Rs. 5,000 (one time Security Deposit which is refundable) The Fees should be paid in the form of Demand Draft in favour of the “Registrar, Raksha Shakti University”, payable at Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
