Uttarakhand Ayurvedic Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (UAPGMEE)-2012
GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, will conduct the competitive entrance examination for selecting candidates for admission to MD/MS (Ay) post graduate course in Rishikul Ayurvedic College, Haridwar
Eligibility:
The competitive entrance examination shall be open to such candidates who have passed BAMS course from Ayurvedic College recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine; are registered under any State/Central Council of Indian Medicine; have completed/will be completing rotatory compulsory internship by 31st July, 2012
Entrance Exam: The Postgraduate Ayurvedic medical entrance examination of 2012 will be held on 30th September, 2012, 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. at Pantnagar only
The competitive entrance examination of MD/MS (Ay) shall consist of one written paper of 180 questions
It shall be of three hours duration and shall carry maximum of 720 marks
The number of questions from different subjects shall ordinarily be as;
Kayachikitsa 30; Sharir 29; Dravyaguna 29; Ras Shastra evam Bhaishjya Kalpna 29; Maulik Siddhant and Samhita 21; Shalya-Shalakya 21; Prasuti-Stri evam Bal Roga 21
All the questions will be objective type with multiple (A, B, C, D) choice of which only one will be the most appropriate response and, therefore, the correct choice
Each answer with correct choice shall be awarded four mark, zero marks shall be given to no response, one mark shall be deducted for each wrong response, if more than one choice is indicated against a question it shall be considered as incorrect response and one mark will be deducted for each such incorrect response
Minimum marks criteria; general category candidates shall have to secure a minimum of 50% marks and the reserved category candidates a minimum of 40% marks in order to qualify for admission to a Post Graduate Ayurvedic course
Candidate eligible in the reserved category will be given admission as per rules of state Govt, applicable till the last date fixed for receipt of application
Admit Card: Admit cards may be downloaded from the university website www.gbpuat.ac.in
Admit cards to ineligible candidates will not be uploaded on website of the university and no correspondence in this regard shall be entertained nor their fees be refunded
However in special circumstances, the candidates may be given admit cards at their respective examination centres, one day before or on the date of the examination
Entry to the examination hall will be restricted to candidates producing the admit card downloaded from the university website
Selection Criteria: Candidates who secure a minimum of 50% marks in case of general category and 40% marks in case of reserved category in the UAPGMEE-2012 shall be eligible for admission to Post
Graduate Ayurvedic Courses availability of the seats
Inter se merit of candidates obtaining equal marks shall be determined in order of preference as; candidates scoring less negative marks (if obtained equal marks then); candidate obtaining higher average aggregate percentage of marks in all professional exams (if obtained equal marks then); according to age (older getting preference over younger)
Merit list (combined and category wise) of eligible candidates for admission to the Post Graduate Ayurvedic courses shall be declared/published by the Registrar, GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar on the university website and in the newspapers and shall be displayed at the Office of the Coordinator Admission, GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar
The copy of result will also be sent to the Director Ayurvedic and Unani Services, Uttarakhand and Principal, Government Rishikul Ayurvedic College, Haridwar
The allotment of course to the eligible candidates shall be made by the admission committee under chairmanship of an officer appointed by Uttarakhand Govt on personal appearance, along with all original documents, of the candidate as per his/her merit and choice of the course
The date and place of counseling shall be notified through press
No intimation will be sent to the candidate
It will be the responsibility of the candidates to check these dates and appear for counseling and allotment of course

Important Dates: 
Date of submission of online application from: 16th August, 2012 to 01st September, 2012
Last date of submission of hard copy with examination fee: 08th September, 2012
Date of entrance examination: 30th September, 2012, Sunday, 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.
Declaration of result on or before: 05th October, 2012
