ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
Entrance Examination would be conducted only at Pondicherry Engineering College for the Non-Gate and Sponsored candidates for admission to M.Tech courses and M.Sc. course.

Pattern of Entrance Examination
The Entrance Examination is of two hours duration consisting of 90 objective type questions. Each PG Programme would have a separate question paper covering the portions learnt in the relative undergraduate discipline. Each correct answer carries 4 marks and wrong answers will have minus 1 mark (Negative mark). Candidates have to shade the answers in the coding sheets which will be supplied at the time of test along with question booklet.

Time: 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon & 02.00 pm to 4.00 pm

Hall Tickets
Shortly after the receipt of the application that is complete in all respects, the Hall Ticket for Entrance Examination along with Register Number will be dispatched to the candidates. The Hall Ticket must be produced at the time of the Entrance Examination for verification. No candidate shall be permitted to write the Entrance Examination without the valid Hall Ticket. PG Entrance Examination Hall Ticket must be preserved even after the Entrance Examination and it should be presented at the time of counselling for admission.

If Entrance Examination Hall Ticket is not received by 26th July, 2012, the candidate should contact the Enquiry Office located in Pondicherry Engineering College. When the candidates come for duplicate Hall Ticket, they should produce two passport size photographs and the proof of having applied for Entrance Examination.

COUNSELLING FOR ADMISSION
The admission is based on the merit, category of the candidates, and availability of vacancies at the time of counselling. All admissions made by CENTAC-PG are provisional and subject to the approval of Pondicherry University.
