Application
The application procedure for admission consists of two steps:
1. Written Test
The Written Test JKLU-PGEET, to be conducted at Jaipur. The candidates who have appeared in GATE or any other equivalent competitive examination will be exempted from appearing in JKLU-PGEET.
2. Application Form

Eligibility:
The candidate fulfilling eligibility requirements that are specified by Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University for admission to a particular PG program from an AICTE approved institution will be considered for admission to the respective programs.
B.E. or equivalent with minimum marks as prescribed by the University

1. Valid GATE score
2. Non-GATE candidates may also apply.

The candidates from sponsored category must have work experience in a registered firm / company / industry / educational or research institute / any Government department or Govt. autonomous organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought. A letter from the employer must be furnished regarding sponsorship. The employer should also indicate that the candidate will not be withdrawn mid way till the completion of the said program.
Stipend / Scholarships: Scholarships/Stipends will be offered to the GATE qualified candidates only, strictly on the basis of GATE score MERIT and continue to receive the same, provided they fulfill the conditions as prescribed by AICTE from time to time .

As per the merit based on B.E. Marks, Experience, Entrance Test Marks and Interview, with appropriate weightage the basis of entrance test will be the qualifying undergraduate programs.

The counseling and eye test will be conducted in the month of July/August on the basis of the merit of the candidate in IIT-JEE Examination. The courses will commence. Candidates should be mentally & physically fit for sea life. Details of the medical standards specified are available in the information brochure. However, the candidates should note that, for joining T.S. Chanakya and Polyvalent B.Sc. (Maritime Sciences) normal vision of 6/6 is essential for each eye separately and those it wearing glasses will not be eligible for admission. Whereas in the case of MERI Kolkata, glasses will be allowed up to plus or S minus 2.5.Un-aided vision should be 6/12 in both eyes minimum or 6/9 in the good eye and 6/12 in the other eye at least. Defective colour vision is a disqualification for all the 3 courses.
There are total 10 seats available for direct admission of foreign nationals to these institutes. They need not appear for IIT-JEE Examination. The application form for direct admission of foreign nationals may be obtained from IIMS on payment of US$ 100 by bank draft drawn in favour of Indian Institute of Maritime Studies payable at Mumbai. 3 B) Minimum Eligibility Criteria for the M. Pharm
1. For M. Pharm programme: Candidates must hold a B. Pharm degree from a PCI and AICTE approved Institute. Candidates must have a first class or minimum 60% marks in average (45% for SC/ST) in graduation. [Sponsored candidates must have minimum 55% in average (45% for SC/ ST) in graduation]. In case the examining Board does not award a class, the percentage marks in graduation will be computed as average of marks obtained in all subjects in which candidate has appeared (excluding optional subjects).
2. For M.S. and PG Diploma programmes: Candidates must hold a B. Pharm degree from a PCI and AICTE approved Institute / MBBS / BVSc / BDS / BAMS / M.Sc. Life Sciences degree from a recognized University. Candidates must have a first class or minimum 60% marks in average (45% for SC/ST) in graduation / postgraduation (QE). In case the examining Board does not award a class, the percentage marks in graduation / postgraduation will be computed as average of marks obtained in all subjects in which candidate has appeared (excluding optional subjects).
3. Candidates must be GPAT qualified for the M. Pharm programme in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy and Pharmacology. Non-GPAT candidates may also apply for the M. Pharm programme in Clinical Research, and Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs, M.S. Clinical Research & Pharmacovigilance, Postgraduate Diploma in Bioanalytical Techniques, Pharmacovigilance. 4. Candidates appearing for final examinations of their Bachelor’s programme / qualifying examination in 2010 can also apply, provided they have obtained 60 % marks or equivalent (45% marks in case of SC/ST candidates) based on latest available grades / marks at the time of applying, and if selected can join the programme provisionally. At the time of the interview / counselling they must bring the following:
a) A certificate in original from the Principal of their Institute stating they will have appeared for examination in all subjects required for obtaining their qualifying degree.
b) A certificate in original from the Principal certifying that they have obtained 60% marks or equivalent (45% marks in case of SC/ST candidates) based on latest available grades / marks. Marks to be calculated as per items (1) / (2) above. Their admission will be confirmed only when they submit the mark sheet and a certificate of having passed the Bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification with at least 60% marks (45% in case of SC/ ST). They must submit proof of passing their final examinations with requisite marks by 31 October 2010. Non-fulfillment of this condition will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

Master of Technology (MTech) 

Eligibility:
a) B.E. / B.Tech / AMIE / MCA / equivalent degree in the appropriate disciplines / branches mentioned below for the respective courses, with a first class or minimum 60% marks in average (45% for SC/ST) in graduation / MCA. In case the examining Board does not award a class, the percentage marks in graduation / MCA will be computed as average of marks obtained in all subjects in which candidate has appeared (excluding optional subjects), OR an
b) M.Sc. / M.A. degree in the appropriate disciplines / branches mentioned below for the respective courses with 55% (45% for SC/ST), after graduating with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in 10+2+3 system from a recognized University
Candidates should preferably be GATE qualified for M. Tech programmes in (a) Computer Science, (b) Environmental Science & Engineering, (c) Fuels and Combustion, (d) New Materials & Processing Technology, (e) Remote Sensing and (f) Scientific Computing. Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distance-learning programmes are eligible only if (a) they acquired such qualifications as working professionals / while in employment, (b) the programmes are recognized by the DEC-UGC-AICTE or MHRD, (c) they have passed the qualifying examination at the time of applying, with minimum requisite marks, calculated as per item (1) above. They must enclose photocopies of (i) work experience certificate (ii) pass certificate and mark sheets of qualifying examination with their application
