1. Name of the Course : Certificate Course in Intensive Care Nursing
2. Objectives:
The purpose of this certificate course is to train nurses to:
1. Provide quality care to critically ill patients.
2. Manage & do Intensive observation of the critically ill patients.
3. Provide life supporting Nursing care for the critically ill patients.
3. Course Description:
This certificate course is designed to prepare Registered Nurses [GNM or
B.Sc (N) or P.C. B.Sc (N)] with enhanced knowledge & skills in providing
Intensive nursing care to the critically ill patients & their families at the tertiary
care level.
4. Eligibility
The student seeking admission to this course should:
1. Be a Registered Nurse (RN & RM) or equivalent.
2. Possesses a minimum of GNM or B.Sc (N) or PC.B.Sc(N) qualification.
3. No. of seats: 25 seats per batch.
5. Duration: Duration of the course is 6 months
6. Fee Structure (Amount in Rupees): Tuition Fee for total course Rs. 5,000/-
7. Last date to receive (by post) down-loaded and completed application form by
the University along-with Demand Draft (drawn on any nationalized Bank)
for Rs.100/- favouring Registrar, KLE University payable at Belgaum on or
before 25th September 2012 at 5.00 PM.
8. Selection/Admissions will be based on test/interviews conducted by the KLE
University, Belgaum.
9. Date for Interviews is on 29th September 2012 at 3:00pm in Academic
Council Hall, KLE University, Belgaum
10. Date of commencement of the course: Saturday, 6th October 2012
